In conserving and restoring historical metal, the following processes are performed:
- surface cleaning by using mechanical, chemical or electrochemical methods,
- passivation of surface and corrosion inhibition,
- consolidation with synthetic polymers,
- straightening of deformities,
- leafing,
- covering with protective coatings,
- reconstruction of missing details.
