LNM reports a cyberattack: warning about fraudulent emails

The National Museum of Lithuania is currently experiencing a cyberattack. Fraudulent emails may be sent on our behalf.
Please do not open any emails or attached files unless you are certain they were sent by us.
The museum is investigating the situation and taking necessary security measures.
“At this time, it has been determined that the cybersecurity incident was related to fraudulent emails sent in the museum’s name. The museum’s internal systems and exhibition services were not affected and continue to operate normally. A preventive review of all systems is currently underway. We promptly informed the relevant authorities and are acting in accordance with the recommendations and guidance of the Cybersecurity Centre. This incident does not have a significant impact on the museum’s daily operations. In addition, we have strengthened technical security measures and are reviewing our access management processes,” said Vaidas Petrokas, Deputy Director for Infrastructure of the National Museum of Lithuania.
