The National Museum of Lithuania joins Museum Night on May 17, 2025, and invites you to events across its branches!

Let Museum Night begin with music! Celebrating its 170th anniversary, the National Museum of Lithuania invites you to take part in an orienteering game where teams will visit all LNM branches in Vilnius. Participants will face musical and engaging tasks, and the three fastest teams will receive prizes. Gather a team of 2 to 6 members—family, friends, or colleagues—and conquer the lively museum maze.

Discover the ethnographic artifact storage-exhibition of the National Museum of Lithuania located in the basement of the House of Histories. Across eight halls, you’ll find a collection amassed over more than 100 years—objects that reveal the identity of rural Lithuanians from a century ago and earlier, reflected in architecture, interiors, daily life, crafts, and trades. How did they perceive the world around them? How did they feel? How did they create the coziness of home? Explore these questions and the values behind the symbols adorning the exhibits.

Doggy Detective: The Case of the Missing Bone

Embark on a fun adventure with your family through the world of canine history! Ask for an activity booklet at the ticket desk. Explore the exhibition and see the world through a dog’s eyes. This interactive game helps children learn about canine senses, body language, and life—from ancient times to today. Most importantly, you’ll help the exhibition mascot, Monstradog, find his missing bone.
