For over 500 years, colorful Bon Odori dances have enlivened Japanese squares, honoring ancestral spirits and uniting communities in celebration. Now recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List, Bon Odori is celebrated worldwide, offering a vibrant cultural experience for Japanese expatriates and locals alike. With the rhythmic taiko drums, flutes, and the aroma of Japanese cuisine, join us in dancing Bon Odori and immerse yourself in Japanese culture!

On this full-day Japanese cultural adventure, you’ll find:

  • Bon Odori dance evening, featuring Zashiki Warashi (JP/UK) and Ayano Honda (JP/LT)
  • Japanese dance, rhythm, fan painting workshops
  • Yukata Clothing Corner and other fun Japanese-inspired workshops for both young and old!
  • Tastes and aromas of delicious Japanese food with ,,Tamago”, a Japanese menu specially prepared for the festival on the terrace of ,,Eskedar Coffee“ and others
