Karaims represent one of the smallest ethnic groups in Lithuania. It was only due to the strength and stability of their traditions that they have managed to preserve a peculiar and unique culture. The present publication presents a small reflection of that culture – the collection of Oriental and Karaim items of Hadji Seraya Khan Szapszal (1873–1961), a famous spiritual leader of the Karaim community, Orientalist, doctor of philology.
