The collection of iron tops and grave crosses represents all regions of Lithuania. It consists of more than 300 iron tops and more than 50 forged and cast grave crosses. The majority of iron tops were made in the 19th century, and several date back to the second half of the 18th century. They were made by various iron-processing techniques: forging, cutting, folding, connecting and composing details. Works by folk artisan, blacksmith Vytautas Jarutis, testify to the continuation of cross-crafting traditions.
